She quit the TV series 7th Heaven in season six. Her acclaimed performance as a teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant notoriety. This film won her the award for Best Supporting Female Actress. Comedy film Summer Catch bears the proof of her incredible acting abilities. Despite her outstanding performance in Rules of Attraction her film did not receive much success. People were then attracted to her role on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre.
