Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. In addition to BJJ training as well, she was also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. In the age of 18 years old, Ladd had her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. Then she returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen, and beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional fight. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: She took her next bout in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock out McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in the catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound tactics which resulted in the TKO second round victory. She remained dominant as she picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd defeated Evinger in the opening round. She also received a performance of the night bonus. The first big fight she fought in was during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. In a recent match replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
