Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. The mother of her child is English while her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in an estate in south London community estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained a BA degree in acting. At the academy was when she performed in various stage plays, including King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer was that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She also appeared on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe officially made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was then ended. Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present.
