Lita Rossana Ford, popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British-born American musician, vocalist and songwriter. The Runaways did not prove to be popular on the scene in The United States. However, their fame grew internationally, especially in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the group breakup. Ford began vocal training followed by her debut album as a solo artist, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin at the Edge'. The albums didn't have much success and Ford just vanished out of the scene for a few years. Ford returned to the scene in the form of her smash success album, 'Lita' it was released in the year 1988. The lead single "Kiss My Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were huge hit songs. The problem was that she only was a brief star and then disappeared from the music scene for several years. The album 'Black" album debuted in 1995 and her 'Wicked Wonderland" release almost 15 years later. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Time Capsule, it was made available. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
